EXPERIENCES

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN THE FAIRE'S STORY

ADVENTURER’S GUILD QUESTS

Chief Warna and the Adventurer's Guild is calling for volunteers to help take care of commissions during the Faire. All you need is an eye for detail, an adventurous soul, and the drive to help those in need. Will you answer Tumasik's call?

Join us over the course of the faire as we embark on 18 unique and personally crafted mini-LARP style quests that will immerse you into the lore of the Faire, the stakes of the various characters of Tumasik, and the celebratory vibes of the festival itself.

Our quests are 60–90 mins long, character-driven and designed for groups of 3–5 players to test your social, investigative, and creative skills. These quests are a way for you to bring D&D style problem solving together with live in-person roleplaying. You can form your own party or sign up individually to join our quests. There will be multiple quests happening at the same time and the results of each quest will leave their mark on the Faire itself. Leave your mark on Tumasik's history and lore.

Duration: 90 minutes

Quest Times: 12pm – 1.30pm | 2.30pm – 4pm | 5pm – 6.30pm

TEST YOUR SKILLS AT OUR FAIRE GAMES

ADVENTURER’S GUILD TRAINING

Do you have the skills to be an adventurer? We think you do! But just to be sure, why not test it for yourself?

Chief Warna, Master of the Adventurer’s Guild, has put forth three challenges for attendees to try their hands at: The Test of Strength, The Test of Agility, and The Test of Memory.

Prizes will be won at the end of each Faire day for the highest scoring members on the leader board, so be sure to go for them if you see yourself as being one of our intrepid heroes!

THE BOUNTY BOARD

OUR BOUNTY HUNTERS NEED YOUR HELP!

A Bounty Board will be available at the Faire, complete with a suite of dastardly devils for our adventurers to find. If you are brave, you may also let our Hunters place you on the board as well and allow other adventurers to seek you out in exchange for a trinket!

The Bounty Board will be placed at our Hunters Guild: Nietzsche Role (Booth C9 and C10)

The Bounty Board is a commission based interactive activity. By partaking in the activity, you consent to your likeness be presented on the Bounty Board for the duration of the Faire, or until a Faire Attendee brings you in.

FOR THE HUNTERS

  • You may take a look at the Bounty Board and mark your target. Once marked, you now join the hunt. Go out into the Faire and seek out your target.

  • Upon locating your target, you may ask to bring them in or to snap a photo of them. Please ask for consent before doing either! But be warned, no quest is without its challenges.

  • Once you have “captured” your Bounty, you may return to the Hunter’s Guild to present your quarry and to claim your prize!

FOR THE HUNTED

  • Commission the Guild to draw you. You may leave a trinket or a gift behind as a reward for the Hunter who manages to find you.

  • After 15 minutes of finishing the artwork, the poster will be put up on the Bounty Board and your bounty is now live.

  • Upon being sought out, you can then allow the Hunter to bring you in, or take a picture of you. You are free to make things difficult by making them do a little harmless challenge (like a stupid dance) before surrendering.

An Age Old Tradition

TRINKET TRADING

A collage of jewelry items including necklaces with beads, shells, and charms; a pair of gold earrings; a pink beaded bracelet; a glass marble; small plastic bags with shells and other small objects; a skull ring; various necklaces with pendants, shells, and stones; and large shell and coral jewelry pieces.

Trinket Trades are a classic RenFaire Tradition, and Lion City Faire is no different. Bring along your little knick knacks, bits and bobs, gizmos, whatsits, widgets, doohickeys and doodads! Our NPCs are more than ready to trade with you. In fact, several of them may even ask a tiny favour of you in exchange for one.

Trinkets may come in a huge range of different forms. Typically, they are small, low-cost, and are given away for free as gifts.

However, in keeping with the spirit of the Faire, we would ask of these for all who take part in Trinket Trading.

TRINKET TRADING RULES

  1. Trinkets should not be used as a form of unsolicited currency/way to barter with merchants and other vendors for paid merchandise.

  2. Always ask for permission before offering a trade. Everyone is allowed to turn down a trade without need for providing a reason.

  3. Do not hide Trinkets around the Faire unless authorised by the organising team. This includes scavenger hunts or unsolicited quests which involve uncovering a trinket hidden on Faire grounds or local historical structures, nature, or private property.

  4. Do not use trinkets as a method of promoting your business, through attaching of business cards or social media handles to the gift.

  5. Food gifts are to be accepted at your own discretion as we are unable to guarantee the safety of food items not previously vetted by the team.
